While Agricultural Science didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Thornton Fractional North Meteors 13-3 on Friday. Considering the Cyclones have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Elias Fernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Kessenich, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alonzo Ortega, who scored a run and stole six bases while going 3-for-4.
