Blair Jackson made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over 12 innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-6 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Krista King, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Lilly Goforth, who went 3-for-6 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Fort Chiswell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
