Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shakira Gresham led the charge by scoring 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gresham has scored all season. Kennedie Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Jackson's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.3 points. As for Tri-Cities, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Jackson will head out on the road to take on Midtown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jackson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 20 matchups. As for Tri-Cities, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities is facing Banneker at the right time seeing as Banneker is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
