B District 2 recap September 24, 2013
Platteview's Chris MacKevicius rumbled for the longest rushing play in B District 2 this season in his game against Bennington last week. MacKevicius scampered for 77 yards on the play and finished with 110 on the day as his team lost to the Badgers.
Waverly was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Vikings defeated Schuyler 48-7.
Zack Petersen and Jon Murray gave Waverly a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Petersen threw for 30 yards, while Murray ran for 209 yards. Teammate Calvin Yelkin added to the ground attack by rushing for 64 yards.

Petersen put up the best numbers in passing as the Vikings beat the Warriors. Petersen's favorite target this week was Mitch Moylan, who caught 2 passes for 20 yards.
Hunter Hermida was the best receiver in the league this week as Plattsmouth defeated Elkhorn. Hermida tallied 6 receptions for 134 yards.
Murray provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Waverly beat Schuyler.
Murray was the best running back in B District 2 this week.
The Blue Devils' Connor Dukes and Hermida have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dukes has thrown for 336 yards this season, while Hermida, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 9 catches for 182 yards. The Vikings' Murray leads the league in rushing yards with 400.
Plattsmouth and the Antlers played the closest game in the league this week, with Plattsmouth eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Hermida in the win.
