Volleyball Recap: Bishop O'Connell Gets the Win

Bishop O'Connell is still undefeated this season after their match against St. John on Monday, but St. John's came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Knights came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cadets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since November 9, 2024.

Bishop O'Connell was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (99-98), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 11-25, 15-8.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shea Willson, who had 11 digs and two aces. Alexandra Potter also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Bishop O'Connell's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for St. John's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
