The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Lebanon Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lebanon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stewarts Creek, who comes in off a win.
Stewarts Creek lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Cookeville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Red Hawks put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 13-1 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Hawks considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Samya Sandifer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Sandifer was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, Alexis Pope and Jadyn Brawley did most of the damage at the plate: Pope scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Brawley scored three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Brawley has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kloe Quigle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Stewarts Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cookeville only posted an OBP of .294.
Meanwhile, Lebanon suffered their biggest loss since March 20th on Tuesday. They came up short against Smyrna, falling 12-1. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Stewarts Creek's record now sits at 7-5. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stewarts Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stewarts Creek couldn't quite get it done against Lebanon when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 5-1. Can the Red Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
