On Friday, Grenada's offense rose to the challenge against a Center Hill defense that boasted an average of only 16.4 points allowed. They had enough points to win and then some against Center Hill, taking their matchup 45-28. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Grenada's flat performance the contest before.
Grenada got off to a slow start in their game last week against Lake Cormorant, but they had no such trouble against Center Hill as they cruised to a 21-point first half. Center Hill matched them to leave it all tied up at 21-21. The offense for the Chargers put that tie to bed by coming up with 24 points in the second half to win the game.
The victory bumped Grenada's record up to 6-4. Center Hill's overall record now falls to 6-5.
Grenada will take on New Hope at 7 p.m. ET on Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Grenada has to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one. The Mustangs will take on West Point at 7 p.m. ET at home. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Mustangs now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
