Coronado has gone 7-2 against Bayfront Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Islanders will square off against the Sharks at 4:00 p.m. Coronado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
13 must be Coronado's lucky number: they beat Bishop's with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Islanders were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Knights. The win was nothing new for the Islanders as they're now sitting on three straight.
Quinn Smock made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Smock was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Samantha Aldworth and Izzy Guymon did most of the damage at the plate: Aldworth went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Guymon went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Aldworth has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tatum Munoz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Coronado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop's only managed seven.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bayfront Charter's offense. They lost 17-0 to Mar Vista on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Mariners: they've now lost three in a row.
Bayfront Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Coronado, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
Coronado got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Bayfront Charter by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Islanders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
