Rogers went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI, while Cowles went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was Rogers' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lane Elrod, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.
Briarcrest Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Briarcrest Christian pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
