Notre Dame Academy and Bay Port are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Tritons will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Notre Dame Academy easily dispatched Sheboygan North on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tritons fell just short of Appleton East by a score of 10-8 on Monday. The Tritons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Jack Frelich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Collins, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, Bay Port waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Ships get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.
Not much got past Parker Lawson, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Manitowoc Lincoln off the board. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Lawson.
At the plate, Bay Port saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Brady, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Jack Huben was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Bay Port's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Bay Port's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Bay Port, though, as they've only averaged .306. Will they be able to contain Notre Dame Academy's hitters?
Notre Dame Academy beat Bay Port 9-5 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tritons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
