Tyler HEAT had already won 17 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.4 points) and they went ahead and made it 18 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Dallas Thunder 55-52. Tyler HEAT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Coen Starr, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 18 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Starr has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eli Anderson, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Tyler HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 35-2. As for Dallas Thunder, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Tyler HEAT wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-60 win against Fort Worth THESA on the 20th. As for Dallas Thunder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-56 loss against Aggieland HomeSchool on the 21st.
