Having just played yesterday, the Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk will get right back to it and host the Mystic Valley Regional Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on February 13th. Innovation Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Even though Northeast Metro RVT scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Innovation Academy still came out on top. Innovation Academy secured a 63-57 W over Northeast Metro RVT.
Derrick Twum was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Innovation Academy's points. Jayden Ogbeide was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mystic Valley Regional's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Minuteman Regional 47-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mystic Valley Regional has scored all season.
Innovation Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Mystic Valley Regional, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.
Innovation Academy strolled past Mystic Valley Regional in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 64-45. Will Innovation Academy repeat their success, or does Mystic Valley Regional have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
