The Centennial Broncos waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Milford with points to spare, taking the game 46-29. For Centennial, this counts as revenge for the 31-30 loss Milford walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Centennial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Devin Slawnyk, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Slawnyk's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Bryson Hornbacher was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Centennial pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Milford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Centennial will be home for the holidays to greet Superior at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Superior focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Milford, they will head out on the road to face off against Ashland-Greenwood on Saturday. Ashland-Greenwood's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Milford's offense will have their work cut out for Milford.
