While losing is never fun, Boonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Evansville Reitz is ranked 47th).
Kaelyse Mitchell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Evansville Reitz, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mitchell scored 15 or more points. Bailey Hape was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Boonville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Evansville Reitz, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Boonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evansville Reitz will be playing at home against Evansville Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evansville Memorial is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
