The West Grand Mustangs were the 44-8 winner over the Plateau Valley Cowboys when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. West Grand took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plateau Valley on Saturday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
West Grand's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake Terryberry, who threw for 335 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Joe Probst, who picked up 173 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Plateau Valley was led to victory by Virgil james Kuper and Parker J richardson. Kuper gained 166 total yards and three touchdowns, while J richardson threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns. Kuper's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards. Kaleb Galbraith also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
West Grand has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-1 record this season. As for Plateau Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
West Grand does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plateau Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
