Baseball Recap: Norview Wins Going Away Against Heritage

On Tuesday, the Norview Pilots made easy work of the Heritage Hurricanes and carried off a 12-2 win.

Jamil Moreta was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Landon Otero was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Malaki Littlejohn was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Norview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only posted an OBP of .250.

Norview's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norview will head out to square off against Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to take on Manor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
