The Trinity Collegiate Titans were the 66-58 winner over the Wilson Hall Barons when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity Collegiate took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barons on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trinity Collegiate has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Trinity Collegiate still got an impressive performance from James Herbert, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jae Thomas was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Wilson Hall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Burton out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Burton is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Knox Buxton, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Collegiate and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Wilson Hall, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
Trinity Collegiate will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. Heathwood Hall Episcopal is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Wilson Hall, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cyclones at 2:15 p.m. on January 27th. Porter-Gaud will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
