Baseball Recap: Reading Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Reading waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Harrisburg Cougars with a sharp 11-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red KNights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Eliang Brito Gonzalez got the start for Reading and what a start it was: he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brito Gonzalez has become a key player for the Red KNights: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise. Oliver Nunez relieved him and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Christopher Disla was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Janser Paredes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Reading always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Reading back to even at 5-5. As for Harrisburg, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Reading wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-3 defeat against Daniel Boone on the 15th. As for Harrisburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Milton Hershey on the 15th.
