Avalon's Isaac Boyd rumbled for the longest rushing play in Capital Area this season in his game against Riverdale Baptist last week. Boyd ran for 63 yards on the play and finished with 154 on the day as his team fell to the Crusaders.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Riverdale Baptist beat Avalon 47-32. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
6-foot-1 quarterback Wyatt Karem of Tad Shields' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 465. He has also thrown 6 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is John Hightower. The Riverdale Baptist star has 17 catches for 264 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Perry Street Prep and the Black Knights. The Pride comes into the matchup ranked 15th in the state, while Avalon ranks 13th.
Model School for the Deaf took down Texas School for the Deaf 47-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
