Timpanogos hasn't had much luck against Provo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Timpanogos was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Uintah on Friday. The Timberwolves simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Utes 68-40. With the Timberwolves ahead 47-26 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Andrew Hillstead had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 300 yards and five TDs, while also rushing for 40 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Zack McCann also helped with two scores in total.
Timpanogos' run defense was locked in: Uintah could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Marlee Iosefo for the heroic effort on defense: he. Timpanogos' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.07 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 6.33 on average over their last five games.

Timpanogos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kyle Lapray and Tristan Faatoafe. Faatoafe has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Timpanogos received some extra help from Jesse King, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Provo had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Salem Hills 49-25 on Friday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
A big part of Provo's win came down to the chemistry between Gehrig Orchard and his top target Ronnie Wright. Orchard threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns while Wright picked up 148 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Orchard also put up a rushing touchdown, which was his first of the season.
The victory got Timpanogos back to even at 3-3. As for Provo, their record now sits at 2-4.
Timpanogos couldn't quite get it done against Provo in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 48-35. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
