The Danvers Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Swampscott. Danvers has not had much luck with the Big Blue recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Danvers saw an underclassman step up: Kyle Sillars scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Sillars scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Metivier, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Danvers' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Swampscott, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danvers will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Swampscott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
