After both having extra time off, the Walled Lake Northern Knights and the Milford Mavericks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walled Lake Northern will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Walled Lake Northern made easy work of Lakeland and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 26-24.
Walled Lake Northern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgin Parsley out in front who had 11 kills, 11 digs, and three aces. Parsley is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Allie Epley was another key player, getting 18 digs.

If Mott wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Milford, they should've done a better job of containing Ryleigh Johnston. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Corsairs on Tuesday for which the team can thank Johnston, who had 20 assists and four aces. With that strong performance, Epley is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Milford was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-7.
Milford's win came from a few key players Walled Lake Northern will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Millie Ashcroft, who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests. Another player making a difference was Dalia Kowalski, who had five aces and one assist.
They weren't the only good servers: Milford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Walled Lake Northern's record is now 11-5-1. As for Milford, their record now sits at 19-4-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Walled Lake Northern has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Milford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
