Lone Peak has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Lehi Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lone Peak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
Last Friday, Lone Peak faced American Fork in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lone Peak was the victim of a tough 71-45 defeat at the hands of American Fork. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Lone Peak has suffered yet this season.
Ike Staley put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Thomsen Kramer, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Lehi unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 77-66 to Skyridge. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lehi came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Skyridge is ranked 52nd).
Lone Peak's record now sits at 8-7. As for Lehi, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
Everything went Lone Peak's way against Lehi in their previous matchup back in December of 2018 as Lone Peak made off with a 93-67 win. Does Lone Peak have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lehi turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
