Bohemia Manor has gone a perfect 6-0 against Havre de Grace recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bohemia Manor 3.2, Havre de Grace 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bohemia Manor is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past C. Milton Wright 21-5 on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.
Lyla Wescoat (2027) was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Bohemia Manor got a massive performance out of Elizabeth Marcum (2027), who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kylee Bergman (2025) Salisbury, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bohemia Manor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as C. Milton Wright only posted an OBP of .360.
Meanwhile, Havre de Grace waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians, sneaking past 7-5.
Like Bohemia Manor, Havre de Grace also got a great game from a two-way player: Lilly Dalton. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits. Dalton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Jalynn Ludd was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Kinsey Mentzer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
Havre de Grace's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Bohemia Manor, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bohemia Manor has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Havre de Grace struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bohemia Manor skirted past Havre de Grace 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
