Mid Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Western Wayne Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Nick Mills made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Mills was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Mid Valley let Anthony Balashaitis and Lorenzo Hernandez run wild. Balashaitis scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Hernandez scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
