The Howard Lions will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Glenelg Gladiators at 4:00  p.m. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Howard sitting on  three straight  victories and Glenelg on five.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Howard gave their fans yet another huge  win on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Hammond as Howard made off with  a  14-1 victory.
 Howard let  Austin Proescher and  Ben Plasterer loose on the outfield. Proescher  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI, while  Plasterer  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hunter Hilte, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Glenelg got themselves on the board against River Hill on Tuesday, but River Hill never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Hawks  1-0.
 Howard has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record  this season. As for Glenelg, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
 Howard suffered a grim  8-0 defeat to Glenelg  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Can Howard avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
