It was a good run, but Goodrich unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Lake Fenton Blue Devils by a score of 12-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Martians, who until this game were averaging 2.64 runs allowed.

Nate Gould made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Kosmerick, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Goodrich's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Lake Fenton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

While Goodrich had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
