The Thomas Jefferson Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 52-9 defeat at the hands of Hermitage. Thomas Jefferson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-4.
It was another big night for Breyona Robinson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals for Hermitage. Robinson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jayda Thomas, who scored six points along with six steals.
Thomas Jefferson bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.4 points per game. As for Hermitage, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson will take on Richmond City School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Richmond City School of the Arts comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Hermitage, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against J.R. Tucker at 5:30 p.m.
