Basketball Recap: Chris Reyes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dolores

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Park). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over the Dolores Bears on Saturday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 52-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

North Park got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Reyes out in front who went 10 for 14 on his way to 23 points. Reyes is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Gavin Pittington was another key player, putting up 19 points and three steals.

The victory got North Park back to even at 2-2. As for Dolores, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

North Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-39 win against Hayden on the 14th. As for Dolores, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-40 victory against West Grand on the 14th.
