West Grand put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the De Beque Dragons 31-16. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Grand's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makaila Gifford, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Gifford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Sara Lechman, who had ten points and five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why De Beque lost, don't look at Ava Vines. Despite the final result, she put up eight points and five rebounds.

West Grand's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for De Beque, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

West Grand didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-19 victory against Middle Park on the 10th. As for De Beque, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-25 win against Dolores on the 13th.
