The South Broward Bulldogs lost against the Cypress Bay Lightning back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. South Broward fell 63-53 to Cypress Bay. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Broward in their matchups with Cypress Bay: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominique Brutus, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Collier, who scored 17 points.
South Broward has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Cypress Bay, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
South Broward will stay at home for another game and welcome Stoneman Douglas at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Stoneman Douglas is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Cypress Bay won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coral Springs at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. One thing working in Coral Springs' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
