Marian is 8-2 against Omaha Westside since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off,  the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Marian proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by three) and  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  set and slipped past Millard North  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Crusaders have posted  since October 8th.
 Marian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-21,  15-13.
Meanwhile, Omaha Westside got the win against Kearney  on Wednesday by a conclusive  3-0.
 Omaha Westside's got stronger as the match went on, holding Kearney to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20,  25-18.
 Marian pushed their record up to 29-8 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Omaha Westside, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Wednesday's  contest:  Marian hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 5.9  blocks per game. It's a different story for Omaha Westside, though, as  they've been averaging  an even more impressive 1.7  blocks. Given Marian's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Marian skirted past Omaha Westside  2-1 when the teams last played  back in August. Do  the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
