Rosman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lexi Powell (sykes), who scored 17 points. Powell (sykes) is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Emma Moretz, who scored 15 points.
NCSSM: Morganton's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.9 points per game. As for Rosman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NCSSM: Morganton and Mitchell will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. NCSSM: Morganton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last 13 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Rosman will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Madison at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Rosman is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
