After having lost a blowout in their previous game against American Leadership Academy, the Payson Longhorns were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Chino Valley, posting a 67-31 win at home. With that victory, Payson brought their scoring average up to 53.8 points per game.
Payson can attribute much of their success to Mikey Schinstock, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Anderson Hatch, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
The victory got Payson back to even at 2-2. As for Chino Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Payson will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northwest Christian at 7:30 p.m. As for Chino Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Show Low at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
