Baseball Recap: Amboy Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Amboy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Clippers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Quinn Leffelman, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Amboy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amboy will welcome Mercer County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, they will host Oregon at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
