Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Bishop Chatard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Berzai, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points. Berzai is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Anna Caskey was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Cathedral's game on Thursday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Purdue Polytechnic. The Fighting Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard better keep an eye on Jaeda Wilson. She was instrumental in Cathedral's win, going 9 for 18 en route to 23 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Beasley, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and seven steals.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Cathedral, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Indianapolis Bishop Chatard has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 38.8 rebounds per game.
