The Laurel Spartans entered their tilt with the Suitland Rams with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Laurel took down Suitland 68-51 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Laurel also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Laurel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Brown, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Brown also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Jermaine Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with three steals.
Laurel's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Suitland, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will take on Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkdale has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Suitland, they will be playing at home against DuVal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
