The Jensen Beach Falcons entered their tilt with the Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Jensen Beach took down Somerset College Prep Academy 64-50 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Jensen Beach, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jensen Beach found their leader in underclassman Lizzie Fitzwater, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Fitzwater continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Moayra McFadden, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Jensen Beach's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jensen Beach will take on South Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Fork comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against Oxbridge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
