After a string of five wins, the Discovery Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 34-27 to Norcross. Discovery has struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Discovery lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaylon Jackson. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. That was a full 66.7% of Discovery's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Discovery's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-13. As for Norcross, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Discovery will square off against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norcross, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Peachtree Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 40th).
