Brevard dropped down to 14-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Pisgah Bears by a score of 2-1. The matchup marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Pisgah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games.

For Pisgah's part, they gave Landon Wright the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Wright has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. Zack Wester relieved him and did a solid job, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

While Brevard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
