After a string of 22 wins, the Bremond Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Their tough 50-28 defeat to Marlin might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bremond has scored all season.
Marlin had a senior duo take command as Shawna Robinson scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and Kya Mitchell scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below three steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Aaryha Johnson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Bremond's loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-1. As for Marlin, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bremond will take on the Jaguars at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hubbard is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Marlin, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Dawson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 two weeks ago.
