The Jackson Generals took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday (barely). They slipped by American 21-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jackson also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sade Resves, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Karissa Perrier, who scored 2 points along with 4 steals.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will take on Homestead at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Homestead focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday. As for American, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coral Park at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
