The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worthington Kilbourne in their matchups with Westerville South: they've now lost six in a row.
Worthington Kilbourne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Te'mar Lewis, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Gallogly, who scored ten points along with seven assists.
Worthington Kilbourne now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Westerville South, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worthington Kilbourne will take on St. Francis DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis DeSales will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Westerville South won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Africentric Early College at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Africentric Early College will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 508th, while Westerville South is ranked 75th).
