Bullitt East has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Whitefield Academy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Bullitt East blew past Hopkins County Central, posting a 65-23 victory at home.
Meanwhile, Whitefield Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past Graves County with a 42-36 victory.
Noel Smith was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds. Mia Braffet was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 3 steals.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Bullitt East's victory pushed their record up to 2-0, while Hopkins County Central's defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Bullitt East didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Whitefield Academy in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win. Does Bullitt East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Whitefield Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
