Notre Dame moved up to 47 from 79 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in East Suburban Catholic. The Dons were able to make move up by defeating Grayslake North 46-27.
Benet Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Andrew, 24-10. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Redwings.
St. Viator's Bob Calmeyn and John Balas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Calmeyn has thrown for 1761 yards this season, while Balas, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 33 catches for 535 yards. Joliet Catholic Academy's Ty Isaac leads the league in rushing yards with 799.
The Hilltoppers took down Elmwood Park 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
