The Three Rivers Bulldogs will face off against the Knippa Crushers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Three Rivers will be strutting in after a win while Knippa will be coming in after a loss.
Three Rivers' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Sabinal. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won four in a row.
The result came thanks to Jayse Alvarado's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evin Sheppard, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lathan Meyer, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Knippa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against La Pryor, falling 14-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Memphis G was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Aj A was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Knippa's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Three Rivers, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Three Rivers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Knippa struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Three Rivers' way against Knippa in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Three Rivers made off with an 18-9 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Crushers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
