The Union Grove Christian Patriots's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past New Manna Christian with a 44-38 victory. This was payback for Union Grove Christian, who suffered a 60-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Union Grove Christian was led to victory by Klaira Cromer and Sara Long. Cromer scored 19 points along with five steals, while Long dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zoey Stiltner, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Union Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for New Manna Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Grove Christian will challenge Woodland Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Woodland Baptist Christian will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for New Manna Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Victory Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
