The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Belfast 103-28 on the road. Oceanside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 27 points or more this season.
Oceanside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Galley out in front who scored 32 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Cohen Galley, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and five assists.
Oceanside pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Belfast, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Oceanside will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Mariners like a good challenge. As for Belfast, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Maine (the Eagles are ranked 21st, while the Lions are ranked 125th).
