The Morgantown Mohigans will square off against the Washington Patriots at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Morgantown's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against University as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Mohigans have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Grayson Campbell, who gave up just two hits to keep University off the board. Campbell has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kai Henkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Washington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Martinsburg on Thursday. Washington's win was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only 3.67 runs allowed on the season.
Connor Smith was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Trace Hough was a standout: he got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kamdyn Coleman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Washington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Washington has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Morgantown, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Morgantown's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Mohigans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Washington, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Morgantown continue to outrun the ball?
Morgantown might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Washington when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Mohigans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
