The Creekview Grizzlies won the last time they faced the Cambridge Bears, and things went their way on Saturday too. Creekview enjoyed a cozy 48-33 win over Cambridge. Given Creekview's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Cambridge is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Amilya Taft (sy), who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Howard, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Creekview's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cambridge, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creekview and Allatoona will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Allatoona comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to take on Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
